Jonie D is a British rapper, songwriter and performer of Italian extraction who grew up in London and is now based in Derbyshire and uses a mix of hip hop, salsa, reggae and hip hop in his work. His debut EP "Which Base" was performed live on ITV in 1990. Daily Mirror ran a story on how Jonie D was sent to a Year 16 Project that "rescued children from a downward spiral".[1]. Blues & Soul Magazine felt that the debut vinyl release "Which Base" would have ‘sound following from the hardcore’.[2].

The renowned dance music publication Mix Mag predicted that Jonie D would become "an unassuming star for the 90's" at the time of his second release "Dance Positivo" on Positive Beat Records which Echoes gave 3.5 stars. [3].

The Yorkshire based producer and songwriter LSK has produced a number of Jonie D's releases since 2015 on the "Original Rockerz" label and Jonie D has continued to work with TJ Chill's long standing group KAOS Krew. "Kaos Krew" have released two albums on Black Pyramid Records. UK Hip Hop (the home of UK hip hop) called the KAOS Krew debut album "as fresh as the day it was made" and the follow up album "Ignorance Is No Defence" "a highly anticipated return to form with a finely tuned corpus of well crafted songs"
