Joowon Chong
Joowon Chong (February 2, 2010) also referred to as JC, is an entrepreneur, student investor, varsity golfer, and inventor. Joowon Chong was born in Seoul, South Korea, and grew up in Busan until he moved to North America. He enrolled at Don Ross Middle School in Squamish, British Columbia, and he currently attends The Wellington School in Ohio.[1]
Career and activities
Chong is a varsity golfer and has participated in the COGA Tour and Junior Golf Week competitions.[2] He is one of the co-founders and co-chief executive officers of the Valentrix Institute, and one of the co-founders and presidents of the Wellington Student Investment Fund (WSIF), a student-run investment firm at The Wellington School.[3]
Chong has worked as an intern for Golden Goose and has described himself as an entrepreneur, stock trader, philanthropist, and innovator.[4] He is the son of Kiyong Chong and Kookyong Nam. Author Joe Moran reportedly cited Chong as inspiration for the book “First You Write a Sentence."[5]
