Jordan Wayne Long is an Emmy-Winning.[1] filmmaker who created HCT.media with fellow filmmaker Matt Glass[2] He received his Masters of Fine Art from Cranbrook Academy of Art

Film[edit]

Long and Matt Glass are in pre-production on their next feature film slated to begin filming in May of 2020. Long will direct with Glass. Long wrote the feature with actress Tara perry

In 2019 Jordan and his company HCT.media produced and shot Brea Grant's feature film 12 Hour Shift starring Angela Bettis, David Arquette, Mick Foley and others. Other producers include Christina McLarty Arquette and David Arquette.

In 2017 Long produced and art directed the film , Rain, [7] which was an official selection in the Atlanta Film Festival and the National Puppetry Festival. This film was directed and written by

Matt Glass.

That same year, Jordan co-directed and produced a feature film titled Squirrel which is set to be released in 2020. It is described as:

A couple lost in the woods stumbles across a mysterious cult who once harvested a strange, crimson, maple syrup with healing properties. The cult is on the brink of ruin as their crimson maple supply dwindles and their leader is left with some life or death decisions to make. The couple’s budding relationship is strained when they confront the truth about a series of bodies found in the woods. Their intertwining lives lead to a confluence of events all triggered by the heroic act of one soldier in the revolutionary war over 200 years ago.

Jordan also second-unit directed Karen Gillan's feature directorial debut The Party's Just Beginning[8] which debuted at the Glasgow Film Festival in 2018.

Documentaries[edit]

Half Cut Tea,[9] a documentary web series created by Jordan and fellow Cranbrook Academy of Art graduate Matt Glass, premiered online in early 2013. Its three seasons consists of 20 episodes highlighting artists from across the country.

In 2015, Jordan Wayne Long and Matt Glass started the production company HCT.media. Their clients have included The Jim Henson Company,[11] BBC, Paramount, KCET,[12] LINK TV and more.

In 2017, Jordan won an Emmy Award for producing and directing (w/ Matt Glass) titled Fallujah: Art, Healing and PTSD and received an Emmy Award for Best Entertainment Programming. [13]

Performance Art[edit]

Long made a name for himself in the art world through his performance art pieces. His work has been compared by Art in America[3] to that of Bruce Nauman[4] and Chris Burden[5]. In 2011 his career took off after shipping himself across the country[6] in a museum crate while playing the online game Lord of the Rings Online. His performance "Box Shipment #2[7] was featured all over the world. His work has been featured in galleries worldwide. In 2013 writer Sean Joseph Patrick Carney wrote a book on Long's work called Property Rights[8]. Long lectures and has been the Keynote speaker at universities around the world including his Alma Mater Graceland University[9]
