Jordan Topoleski is an American business executive. He is the chief operating officer of Cursor, an artificial intelligence-assisted code editor developed by Anysphere.[1] Earlier in his career, he was selected by the Adecco Group as its 2020 "CEO for One Month".[2]
Early life and education
Topoleski is from Toledo, Ohio.[3] He attended Harvard University, where he studied the history of technology, but left before graduating.[4]
Early career
Before joining Cursor, Topoleski worked in technology and startup roles. He also founded a software development agency that later worked with venture-backed startups and was eventually sold.[5]
In 2020, Topoleski was selected as the Adecco Group's global "CEO for One Month", a programme in which a young participant works alongside the company's chief executive.[6] He later wrote about the experience in an article published by Adecco.[7]
Cursor
By 2026, Topoleski was serving as chief operating officer of Cursor.[8] In that role, he has represented the company in public discussions about the use of artificial intelligence in software engineering and code generation.[9]
In April 2026, Topoleski appeared in a fireside chat hosted by NTT Research at its Upgrade 2026 event, where he discussed the use of AI-generated code in software development and the effect of coding assistants on engineering workflows.[10] Reporting on the event in technology media summarized his comments on software development practices, code review, and the operational impact of higher volumes of machine-generated code.[11]
