George "Jorge" Rodriguez Eagar is an American Independent Catholic bishop. He serves as a bishop in the Ascension Alliance and as pastor of the Shrine of Holy Wisdom in Tempe, Arizona. His parish website states, "Ritual has been an integral part of Fr. Jorge’s formation. By integrating visual and other artistic expressions as tools for healing and transformation, he reclaims the time-honored mystical power of ritual to assist in self-realization. Fr. Jorge teaches classes on magical & mystical Christianity, the archangelic realms, practical Kabbalah, Angelic wisdom of the Tarot, and shrine-box making."[1]

Bishop Jorge Rodriguez Eagar has served the Church for many years as Vicar for Hispanic Ministry, Dean of the Spanish Language Division of Sophia Divinity School and Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Arizona. As his responsibilities with the Vicariate for Hispanic Ministry grow, Bishop Jorge has been formally released from his responsibilities as Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Arizona in order to concentrate on those responsibilities. In his role as Vicar for Hispanic Ministry, Bishop Jorge will be responsible for overseeing all monolingual Spanish ministries in the United States and in countries with no autocephalous Catholic Church of Antioch. Monolingual Spanish ministries in the United States will report directly to him regardless of in what geographically based diocese they would otherwise fall. In other words, assignment of a ministry to the Vicariate would be based on language, not geography. The bishops found precedent for such an approach in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, an ordinariate canonically erected for members and those employed by the branches of the military. The Shrine of Holy Wisdom was also released from the Diocese of Arizona to become the spiritual headquarters for the Vicariate.

He is included in Julie Byrne's work, The Other Catholics: Remaking America's Largest Religion.
