From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Joseph & Stacey is a South Korea based company specializing in leather luxury bag company founded in 2010. The company is fully dedicated to the user experience design.

History[edit]

Joseph & Stacey was founded in 2010 by Josephine and Stacey. They met each other while they were in the United Kingdom for the exchange program. During the summer they decided to take a trip to London when they realized that there were not many bags that were both functional and stylish. Those available were either functional or stylish; they could not find a bag that fulfilled both needs.

As they went back to Korea, they decided to design the handcrafted bags that were both functional and fashionable. In 2008, they finally made the first bag with the kip leather used in baseball gloves for being soft, light and luxury cowhide.

As they started selling few units at the initial stage, a popular Korean singer from Davichi group Min-Kyung Kang purchased one of the first units and posted on Cyworld, the most popular Korean social network back when the bag popularity increased. Thanks to the artist, they sold thousands of units and decided to expand the business in Korea.

Today, Joseph & Stacey still develops its product line based on the concept of the first bag made in 2008. In Korea, the business has grown and reached over 5 million USD in annual sales. The company is finally ready to enter overseas markets and introduce the product lines to the world.
