Born in Ibadan, Nigeria, Olowu joined the youth academy at Arsenal when he was eight years old. He has risen up the ranks at the North London side including the U-18s and U-23s at Arsenal.
Olowu went on loan to League of Ireland Premier Division side Cork City. He made his debut on the first matchday of the season on 14 February 2020 during a 1-0 loss against Shelbourne, appearing in all matches until the season paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At this time it was unknown if the loan agreement would be fulfilled or if the player would be recalled by his parent club.
Born in Nigeria, Olowu is also eligible to represent England.
