She is the mother of another profoundly gifted and talented son, Jozef Maynard Borja Erece whose case was presented at the 22nd Biennial World Council for Gifted and Talented Children's Conference in Sydney, Australia on July, 2017 in an open conference peer review aptly titled: "The Making of a Modern Day Renaissance Man- the unique case of Jozef Erece"[2]

Career and Family life:[edit]

Dr. Borja-Erece initially trained in the field of Psychiatry and is presently working as a specialist General practitioner in Brisbane, Australia. She is married to Dr. Maynard Victor Erece, a long time global advocate for gifted and talented education. Their advocacy with gifted and talented education started early with their son, Jozef Maynard Borja-Erece and daughter, Maynah Josephine Lourellen Borja-Erece both profoundly gifted children. During the 2019 World Conference for Gifted and Talented Children, she mentioned her active choice of "one parent at home" during the early developmental stages of gifted and talented children to be able to identify and support early developmental stages. She also mentioned how the challenges and complexities of collaborating with agencies and schools merely fuelled her quest to get the best possible outcome for her children.
