Joshua Adam Harris, born on the 11th November 1991[1] is an English Actor, Voiceover, Singer and Screenwriter, represented by ‘Dry Blue Agency’.[2] He is most notably known for his strong comedy bones, which he showcases in his own writing for the proof of concept of ‘Twenty Something’ aired by BBC Comedy[3].

Early Life[edit]

Joshua Adam Harris was born in St Mary’s hospital, Portsmouth on 11th November 1991[4]. His mother, Jennifer Harris was a retired accountant and father David Shaw (separated), a retired electrician. Joshua grew up in Southsea in Portsmouth where he attended Priory secondary school. [5] After finishing school in 2008, Joshua went on to study at Highbury College as well as Portsmouth College where he gained various academic qualifications. It was during his final year at college in 2011 that he decided performing was the only thing he wanted to do. At this point, he decided to study Musical Theatre at the University of Chichester from 2012-15. [6] During his final year at university, Joshua became very interested in screen acting and decided to audition for the International School of Screen Acting in 2015. He graduated from ‘ISSA’ in 2016.

Career[edit]

Since graduating Joshua has featured in several feature films, short films, commercials and theatrical shows. He was most notably known for his performance in ‘Forever Dusty’ (2018) which transferred from New York with an all new cast to tour the UK[7]. Joshua played Tom Springfield as well as multi-roling all other male parts in the show, receiving outstanding reviews for his performance. Shortly after this, Joshua decided to work on his first cruise for entertainment company Peel Talent as an actor and host for Marella Cruises. After developing the travel bug, Joshua decided to do one more cruise after being given the opportunity to work as cruise director on the world’s first expedition yacht out in Antartica and South Georgia with Scenic Luxury Cruises.
