Joshua Ian Andrew Barrett (born February 17, 1981), known professionally as DJ Ghost, is the official DJ of the [[Philadelphia 76ers]], a performer, music producer, and actor.
A Philadelphia native, Josh Barrett first became interested in music from a young age, dabbling in saxophone, clarinet, and drums. In his mid-teens, he took over the role of a DJ at a local club, eventually graduating to other venues in Center City. From this platform, he established himself as a preeminent local DJ, performing at clubs, concerts and festivals, ranging across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
Outside of music, Barrett has also featured as an actor, appearing in When George Got Murdered (2022), Abused (2023), and Hey DJ Behind the Mix (currently filming). He previously appeared in Dance City TV (2012) for The CW Philly Network.

Early life Barrett was born on February 17, 1981, in Mercer County, New Jersey. His older brother Jeff is a farmer, and has nothing to do with the entertainment industry.
Because his parents separated when he was very young, Barrett was raised by his single mother. When she took a position as a bar and night-club manager, Barrett was regularly around music and nightlife, fostering his love for performance and the fluidity of local club and music scenes. His family fully supported him in this endeavor, and worked to help him travel, and booked him additional work at their bar. Soon, Barrett was booking jobs in NYC, Las Vegas and beyond. Currently, work as DJ Ghost takes Barrett to multiple venues across the United States, South America, Asia, and Europe.
Career During the span of his career, Barrett became acquainted with several young artists and performers as well industry regulars. Frequently, he performs with (rapper)|Rampage, and Rah Digga from Flipmode Squad, with whom which he holds a partnership for his MP3 pool endeavor.
Barrett has also been closely associated with Tash from Tha Alkaholiks, as well as Vassy, the Australian EDM singer. Additionally, he often collaborates with DJ Sizzahandz and DJ Riz from Crooklyn Clan.
DJ Ghost plays a weekly mix show on iHeart Radio, WIOQ, Q102 Philadelphia. In 2002, he composed the soundtrack to the Wawa “Welcome America” Fireworks show.
