From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Joshua D. Niles (born June 14, 1984) is a Nashville, TN-based record producer, engineer, and mixer whose work has appeared on Billboard, TV, film, and radio and topped iTunes and Spotify (viral and international) charts. Niles began his career in the industry signed to Equal Vision Records as a drummer, making albums with Mark Trombino, Jimmy Eat World, Blink-182, Mineral, and No Knife. During this time, Niles also started a career as a session drummer and front-of-house engineer, which then led him to pursue the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Science.

Completing this program enabled him to gain entry into professional audio engineering. He started at Flying Blanket Studio (Phoenix, AZ), then quickly relocated to Nashville to begin work at Nashville's renowned Sputnik Sound. He immediately began a two-year stint under multi-Grammy Award-winning engineer Vance Powell (working with, among others, Jack White, the White Stripes, Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon, Chris Stapleton, and Buddy Guy) and producer Mitch Dane (working with, among others, Jars of Clay and JJ Heller). Throughout the years, he began producing independently in studios across the country.

In the summer of 2014, Niles acoustically designed and built "The Chapel", a commercial-grade, private studio for his productions and mixing work. A dimly lit, cozy environment, designed for disconnecting from the outside world, relaxation, and creation. The room is built around the legendary 32-channel Sphere Eclipse C console, paired with ProTools HD, and running on Lynx converters. Monitoring is provided by Bryston and Proac equipment, and it is equipped with high-quality gear from Urie, RCA, Telefunken, Sony, Retro, and Purple, among others.
