Biography[edit]

Education[edit]

Holmes was born in Jackson, Tennessee. He attended and graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Business Finance. He continued his education at Louisiana State University School of Law and graduated from there in 2003 with a Juris Doctor degree and a Bachelor of Civil Law Studies.

Career[edit]

Holmes, during his first year of law school, found himself bored and in need of a hobby. Having heard from friends over the years that he should model, he decided to give it a try. After locating the first model agency in the phone book with a website, he sent an email with photos to the agency and a career was born. Determined to finish his legal education, Holmes limited himself to only modeling in the summers. During the summers, Holmes was a male fashion model, living and working in Greece and Italy, instead of clerking like the rest of his classmates.[citation needed]

In November 2003, Cosmopolitan named Holmes one of the "50 Hottest and Most Eligible Hunks in America". He went on to do several TV appearances in relation to the honor. Several months later Complete Woman honored him with a similar article in their magazine.[1]

In November 2004, Holmes created the successful website Bumpshack.com. The site has received several awards. The site has been featured on TMZ.com and MSNBC. On September 23, 2006, Holmes was interviewed on MSNBC by host Alex Witt regarding his post "The 10 Most Hated Celebrities in Hollywood". He went on to create GossipTeen.com and several other celebrity/entertainment websites.[citation needed]

He is also the founder of RunItFast.com (and the accompanying Run It Fast - Running Club).[2]

He personally started a 500K Relay marathon in Jackson, Tennessee.[3]

Personal life[edit]

Holmes says his hobbies include working out, running, snowboarding, sports, web design, and playing Xbox. He has run in the San Diego (2004) and Tucson (2005) marathons, running the latter 3 hours and 22 minutes.[2]

After two years off from running, he returned in 2007 and has now run over 107 combined marathons and ultramarathons including eighteen (18) hundred mile finishes or longer. He has finished The Last Annual Vol State 500K ultramarathon three times, finishing in 2nd place in the 2012 race..[2]

In the summer of 1996, Holmes was robbed at gunpoint in his apartment. Two young men were arrested the next day and charged with the crime, along with the possession of five stolen guns and narcotics. Holmes testified in court and both were sentenced to seven years in prison.[citation needed]

He is a member of the secret letter society, that is the social fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon.[citation needed]
