He is best known for his work with Sogro, an international relief and development organization. Throughout his career, Jones has started numerous companies and non-profit organizations in the USA, Latin America, and Asia.[1] In the late 1990's, he started Emercy International (later renamed Sogro), a non-profit development and relief organization that ultimately provided medical and dental care to hundreds of remote villages in Central and South America.[2]

Oral Health Policy[edit]

In 2010, Jones joined Sarrell Dental and Eye Centers in Alabama as Vice President of Governmental Affairs.[3] While there he worked with Representative Ed Henry to pass legislation that ultimately rewrote the Alabama Dental Practice Act to allow non-profit dental clinics to operate in the state.[4] He also conducted extensive research in patient appointment-keeping behavior, which resulted in a grant being awarded by the DentaQuest Innovation Fund and generated publications that identified key characteristics of patients more prone to miss scheduled appointments.
