The Journal of Management History (JMH) is a peer-reviewed academic journal in the field of management and business history. It publishes research dealing with business, management and organizations, with a clear historical dimension. It is published quarterly by Emerald Group Publishing. JMH is currently co-edited by Professors Bradley Bowden of Griffith University and Jeff Muldoon of Emporia State University.
JMH was originally launched in 1995 but folded into Management Decision as a special section until its revival in 2006. The journal is represented by dozens of editorial board members from across the globe who attend numerous local and international conferences. However, JMH has a long-standing relationship with the Management History Division of the Academy of Management annual meeting.
In 2020, the journal was ranked in the top quartile in history and the philosophy of science, featuring an H-index of 21,[1] citation score of 1.5,[2] and a 2-year impact score of 1.113,[3]
