The Journal of Surgical Case Reports is an open access peer-reviewed medical journal. It publishes case studies in relation to any subspecialty of surgical practice.[1][2][3] It is often a recommended journal for disseminating case reports and case series.[4]

JSCR Case report of the year
Each year the editorial team chooses a case report of the year.[8] The recipients of the awards are:
- 2019 - A case of endovascular treatment for intestinal ischemia due to acute superior mesenteric artery embolism after TEVAR
- 2018 - Calcific tendonitis of the quadriceps tendon
- 2017 - Painful locking of the wrist in a patient with pseudoachondroplasia confirmed by COMP mutation
