The Journal of Surgical Case Reports is an open access peer reviewed medical journal. It publishes case studies in relations to any subspecialty of surgical practice.[1][2][3] It is often a recommended journal for disseminating case reports and case series.[4]

JSCR Case report of the year[edit]
Each year the editorial team chooses a case report of the year.[8] The recipients of the awards are:
- 2019 - A case of endovascular treatment for intestinal ischemia due to acute superior mesenteric artery embolism after TEVAR
- 2018 - Calcific tendonitis of the quadriceps tendon
- 2017 - Painful locking of the wrist in a patient with pseudoachondroplasia confirmed by COMP mutation
- 2016 - Innovative use of the octopus stabilizer in the excision of a cardiac hydatid cyst
- 2015 - MRI is unable to illustrate the absorption time of the absorbable TIGR mesh in humans: a case report
- 2014 - Prophylacticq hypothermia and neuromuscular blockade to limit myocardial oxygen demand in a critically anemic Jehovah's Witness after emergency surgery
- 2013 - Repair of a complex post-EVAR type III endoleak using a chimney aortouniiliac stent graft and femorofemoral crossover bypass
