Jovanna Tosello is an award-winning, Brazilian-American filmmaker based in New York. She won Best Short Film at the Los Angeles Animation Festival in 2012 for her thesis film The Magical Theater (2010).
Early Life[edit]
Jovanna was born in Los Angeles, California. She studied Character Animation at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA). She went on to earn her Master's degree from the University of Southern California, School Cinematic Arts.
Career[edit]
Her work often explores themes of transformation, resilience, and the blurred lines between reality and imagination. Jovanna’s early credits included following notable comedy projects;

- The Daily Show with Trevor Noah(Comedy Central)
She worked with notable artists including Jeff Lynn for his music video for Mister Blue Sky and an ad with Geoff McFetridge.
