Joy Records is a record label, located in Tel Aviv, that specializes in electronic dance music.
Levi & Suiss (a DJ supergroup consisting of Shlomi Levi and Aaron Suissa) founded Joy Records in 2013 along with Adar Weinreb.[1]
Bio[edit]
Joy Records is a Tel Aviv based record label bringing the best in commercial pop & dance music from both established names as well as young and upcoming talent. The label's mission is to explore new sounds and bring them to your ears.
A growing company, JOY is always looking for young and promising talented artists to work with. Joy Records welcome producers, vocalists, DJs, bands and anyone else who loves making electronic dance music. The label operates internationally as an electronic music distributor.
In 2018, Joy Records introduced its two sublabels. Inhale Records and Radical Records are exclusive record labels for Techno and Trance music accordingly.
History[edit]
After serving in the IDF, Adar became well established in the Tel Aviv nightclub scene as a promoter. Utilizing the PR team he built from scratch, Adar became one of the top promoters in Tel Aviv and Israel. During the process of building his PR team, Adar met aspiring DJ Aaron Suissa, and the two eventually moved in together. Aaron Suissa asked Adar Weinreb to manage his budding career.
One night, during an event where Aaron was opening, the two met the headliner: world-renowned DJ Shlomi Levi. Adar stated in an interview with Secret Tel Aviv, the magazine: "Me and Shlomi clicked right away and a partnership was born.". Two months later, "Joy Records" was born. After spending hours in the studio collaborating, Shlomi and Aaron decided to form their own DJ supergroup called Levi & Suiss.[1]
Formation of Levi & Suiss[edit]
The DJ duo Levi & Suiss are two strong up-and-coming names in the electronic music scene. Since founding their DJ group in 2013, they have been taking over charts with their various remixes and energetic tracks. In 2014, the duo released "SMFF" which hit number 5 on the Beatport Electro House chart, along with "My Dream" which hit 62 on the Progressive House chart. Another remix "Love Me Again" has been a massive hit and gets supported by some of the biggest EDM names.[2]
Shlomi Levi's career jump started after performing at Camp Nou for the European Cup Finals in 1999, securing his place as Manchester United’s FC Official DJ for two seasons. He has played all over the world and released various tracks such as "I’m a Rich Bitch" which hit the number two spot on the iTunes sales chart.[2]
