Joyce Watkins

Joyce Watkins is an American woman exonerated in 2022 from rape and murder convictions in 1988. According to the district attorney involved in the vacated judgment, the wrongful conviction was based on faulty evidence provided by the medical examiner at the time. Watkins was convicted with her then-boyfriend, Charlie Dunn, who died in prison in 2015. Watkins spent 27 years in prison.[1]
