Jsaux
Jsaux stylized as JSAUX (/ʤeɪ-ɛs-eɪ-juː-ɛks/ jay-sox) is a Chinese consumer electronics brand focused on the design and manufacturing of accessories for smart electronic devices (hubs, magnetic chargers, HDMI adapters), and handheld consoles such as Nintendo Switch and Valve’s Steam Deck (docking stations, screen protectors, hard cases).
History, management, and results
Jason Cai founded the company in 2016 under the corporate name DeOne Innovation Technology (Hong Kong) Limited.[1]. It is based in Shenzhen, where the in-house team coordinates its research & development department, and worldwide marketing. At first, they just manufactured data transfer cables.
Between 2016 and 2017, JSAUX arrived in the US market, and its international sales volume hit a record high between 2018 and 2019. In 2020, it experienced great expansion: with over 20 million unique customers in more than 100 countries from its foundation, JSAUX achieved an annual turnover of 320 million CNY, more than 47 million USD. Their products were exclusively sold on Amazon until they opened their online shop in June 2022[2].
Another milestone in its recent history was the groundbreaking success of its OmniCase, an electronic hub with seven different port types that also features a cable organizer on the top. The project reached its goal of $5,000 in less than one day and achieved $176,200 in a single month thanks to more than 2,000 users.
Products
JSAUX holds the design and manufacturing of its own accessories. They normally aim at the international market except for a line of chargers only compatible with North American sockets. They first focused on dongles and gadgets for smartphones, tablets, and PCs, and starting in Summer 2022 they began to sell accessories for Steam Deck[3].
Since the production of Valve’s original dock for Steam Deck was delayed, their docking station became a sales hit when it was announced on Reddit[4]. Also, both the first and the second generation of their docking stations have been listed in several big gaming media, such as Gamespot[5], PCGamesN, PC Gamer and Kotaku, as a recommended option for Steam Deck players. As the Chinese company gains relevance in the gaming community, they are currently developing new versions of this gadget with upgraded USB ports, compatibility with M.2 SSD cards, and more.
