Judiciary Marshals Act also known as Republic Act No.11961 was a Republic act of the Philippines, an creating the Office of the Judiciary Marshals; it was passed in the 3rd Regular Session of the 18th Congress of The Philippines on July 26, 2021 and signed into law by President Rodrigo Duterte on April 11, 2022.[1] It was a consolidated Bill of Senate Bill No.1947 and House Bill No.9086 which passed by House of Representatives and Senate of the Philippines on January 25, 2022 and January 30, 2022, respectively.[2][3] The Judiciary Marshals Act was a response in unsolved killing of the Judges; According to Associate Justice Jose Midas Marquez, only 1 in 10 in the cases have been resolved and other masterminds are still at large or have yet to be charged.[4] The purpose of the law is to investigate crimes committed against judiciary officials and court properties, including, concerning allegations of irregularities including graft and corruption, committed by justices, judges and court officials and personel, and protecting judiciary, including its judges and other personel.[5][6]
