Jugnoo Rahi

Jugnoo Rahi is a consultant ophthalmologist and Professor of Ophthalmic Epidemiology at University College London. Rahi’s research focuses on visual impairment in childhood and lifecourse influences on eye diseases of adult life.[1] In 2018 Rahi was selected as a senior investigator of the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR).[2][3]

Current work[edit]

Rahi is the Director of the Ulverscroft Vision Research Group[4][5] at UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health. Rahi holds roles in UK national bodies that determine strategy and set standards for paediatric ophthalmology services.[6] She serves as a key advisor on vision screening to the UK National Screening Committee.[7] Rahi has published over 180 scientific articles in the field of ophthalmology and ophthalmic epidemiology and is a member of both of the Vision 2020 Eye Research Committee[8] and the UK Biobank Eye and Vision Consortium[9]
