Biography[edit]
Jules Thine[1] was born in Paris in November 2003, he took the time to grow up there, and then his parents moved to Switzerland, in Cheserex, in a house facing a lake. Jules's parents ended up separating. He stayed in Switzerland with his dad. Before they separated, his parents opened for him the doors of the world. In six months, Jules[2] visited London, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Bali, and Singapore. In Switzerland, the elementary school of Champittet started with a list of the rules that children should not break and their associated punishments.
When Jules learned about it, his father swelled his cheeks, but this time it was not just for fun. He understand today that he was then beginning to doubt the school's ability to teach him the basics.
2010[edit]
In November 2010, Jules was celebrating his seventh birthday. Instead of a common gift, dad offered him the opportunity to quit school forever. When school was over, he could move on to the serious stuff. His goal was clear: to conquer the horizon and its surroundings. But before, He had to accept the pact. "You read 30 minutes, and you can play 30". Jules committed to respecting it, and he read a lot. But one does not leave the beaten track of the National Education so easily, so Jules's dad called private teachers. They relayed each other to keep him on the straight educational path imposed by the Rectorate. In 2010 his dad had to register Jules to the NDEC, the quintessential National Distance Education Center approved, validated, stamped by the National Education.
2012[edit]
Eighteen months passed until the little Swinging London tune that had been dancing in dad's head for some time guided them in 2012 to the London smog, and so they moved to the district of South Kensington.
The academic part of his education was therefore entrusted to young teachers made in England. Dictations, mental arithmetic, reading, good humor, and laughter. And then, to attend his lessons in small groups, Jules got into the London buses with great enthusiasm every day. He always chose to sit upstairs to watch London parade, Routemasters, fish & chips, the London Eye.
He had assimilated the language of Shakespeare and Bob Dylan in just two years by watching South Park and Doctor House in the original version. He used to spend nine months in London, winter in Val d'Isère, and spring in Biarritz.
2015[edit]
Almost three years have passed, and at the dawn of Jules[3] eleventh birthday, He had learned to speak English, play golf and ski. He also had been unceremoniously introduced to taekwondo with an Iranian teacher, Ali Reza. As for the other teachers, he gradually replaced them with online courses proposed by American universities. Jules was thus able to change teachers and benefit from diverse pedagogical approaches regularly.
In 2015, William Laurent, a respected yoga teacher and owner of Antibes' Top Fit, accepted Jules candidacy as a beginner student. Jules and his father then leave London for Antibes. It was under the same sky that Jules learned to golf and then perfected it spending my afternoons on the green. He also started playing chess and participating in tournaments. But it was especially in Antibes that he had the privilege of attending William's yoga classes. Juless listened to him, captivated, and he assimilate his lessons with enthusiasm. He learn, practice, and achieve a level of flexibility and understanding of anatomy that will allow him to, in turn, lead yoga sessions.
That year Jules also took programming courses that allow him today to develop, among other things, his website dedicated to yoga trainings.
2017[edit]
Time passed, and in 2017 Jules was able to materialize his interest in astronomy. He went on the Pic du Midi to see the stars more closely and to follow an observation course. Each evening, from midnight to two in the morning, he observed the sky. Jules brought back as memories of these atypical nights, incredible photos of planets, and nebulae. Since then, it has become impossible for him to keep believing that only our little planet counts! To test gravity, he did several parachute jumps and speed riding (skiing combined with a paraglider wing).
2018[edit]
But his most exciting adventure started in 2018, the year in which he took his first yoga teacher training, becoming one of the youngest certified yoga teachers. Since then, Jules[4] has had the pleasure of meeting Sri Dharma Mittra in New York. A yoga legend who, at 85 years old, is still riding a scooter slaloming between cars in the middle of New York. Traveling and the internet allow him to be in contact with many yoga teachers around the world.
