Julia C. Patrick
Julia Camaley Patrick (born June 11, 1961) is an American businesswoman, philanthropist and publisher.
Early life and education
Patrick was born on June 11, 1961 in Phoenix, Arizona to Judith Gail Patrick and James E. Patrick II, son of James E. Patrick I[1]. Patrick grew up in the Arcadia neighborhood, and attended Scottsdale High School. She attended Claremont McKenna College in California.
Career
Patrick's career has spanned the publishing, media, business, philanthropic and nonprofit sectors. Patrick was the publisher of The Arts and Crafts Chronicle, The Wedding Chronicle, Food & Flourish, Great Wine News. During a 30-year publishing career, Patrick and her team won the Arizona Newspaper Association[2] best feature award.
Patrick is the Founder and Original Publisher [3] of Frontdoors.[4] She started the community publication in Fall of 2002 and sold[5] the publication in 2017 for an undisclosed amount.
Patrick launched the American Nonprofit Academy [6] in 2014. The American Nonprofit Academy [7] is an initiative born of the philanthropic coverage in Frontdoors and is host to The Nonprofit Show [8], the daily live video broadcast where the National Nonprofit community comes together for problem solving, innovation and reflection. Patrick also works with philanthropies at [9] local and national levels.
