Julia Vickerman (born August 31, 1984) is an American animator and director best known for creating the Netflix series Twelve Forever. In addition to directing the series Vickerman also contributed to other children’s programming including Yo Gabba Gabba! The Powerpuff Girls (2016 TV series) and Clarence.
Early life[edit]
At 17, she attended the Minneapolis College of Art and Design from 2002 to 2006. After that, she started her career as an animation director.
Controversy[edit]
Shortly after the release of Twelve Forever, a 2010 Tumblr post by Vickerman in which she admitted to stalking a 14-year-old male at a county fair was discovered.[1] Julia Vickerman was subsequently replaced by Shadi Petosky as the show runner for potential later seasons.
