JumboMail is a freemium cloud based file sharing service used for sending large files. The goal of the service is to provide an easy to use tool for transferring and managing large files online which cannot typically be sent using everyday email services (such as Gmail, Yahoo, Walla, etc.).[1]
JumboMail was established in 2010 by Eran and Shahar Ronen, and using the service, users can send by email any type of files, including music files, videos, documents, and more. In 2016, JumboMail launched a new website and business model, offering users the ability to send files as large as 5GB for free,[2] or up to 20GB by purchasing JumboCodes or a subscription.[3]
Usage[edit]
Sending files is done by filling in a form including recipients, sender's email, subject, and an additional message (optional). users can enter up to 25 recipients. alternatively, users can opt for a quick link, in which case there are no recipients, but rather a link directly to the download page. Once the form has been filled, the user chooses which files to upload, and the uploading process begins. at the end of the process, the files are uploaded to a download page from in which the recipients can view the files online and download them. Files remain available for 7 days before deletion, and subscribers can save the files unlimited.
