Jumping Goat is a coffee liqueur originating in New Zealand, combining freshly ground coffee and chocolate flavors with an alcohol content of 33% ABV. It is made from redistilled New Zealand whey vodka, a by-product of milk production, and approximately 100 grams of Papua New Guinea coffee beans per bottle. Jumping Goat comes in two flavors:[1]

Jumping Goat's origins are rooted in ancient Ethiopia, where a goat herder named Kaldi is said to have discovered coffee when his goats consumed energizing berries. New Zealander sought to create a energizing alcohol, leading to the development of Jumping Goat.[2]
Ingredients[edit]
Jumping Goat is composed of redistilled New Zealand whey vodka and Papua New Guinea coffee beans, which are roasted and cold brewed. It offers a coffee-forward flavor with subtle chocolate undertones due to these ingredients.[3]

Espresso Goatini[edit]
Ingredients:
- 60ml of Jumping Goat Vodka Liqueur
- Shot of Fresh espresso coffee
- Dust of Cinnamon powder
In a shaker, mix 60ml of Jumping Goat Vodka Liqueur with one shot of fresh espresso coffee. Fill shaker with ice then shake. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a dust of cinnamon powder.[4]
Drunken Goat[edit]
Ingredients:
- 30ml Jumping Goat Vodka Liqueur
- 20ml Spiced Rum
- 20ml White Rum
- 10ml Chipotle Infusion
- 10ml Orange Bitters
In a mixing glass, add 30ml Jumping Goat Vodka Liqueur, 20ml Spiced Rum, 20ml White Rum, 10ml Chipotle Infusion and 10ml Orange Bitters. Stir and fine strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with star anise & orange peel.[5]
Goat & Tonic[edit]
- 30ml of Jumping Goat Vodka or Whisky Liqueur
- Tonic water of choice
- Lemon
Fill a short glass with ice. Pour over 30ml of Jumping Goat Vodka or Whisky Liqueur. Top with tonic water and garnish with a lemon wedge.[6]
Black Russian[edit]
- 45ml of Jumping Goat Vodka Liqueur
- Dash of Coke
- Wheel of Lime
Fill a short glass with ice. Pour over 45ml of Jumping Goat Vodka Liqueur. Top with Coke and garnish with a lime wheel.[7]
