Jung Chang-sun (Korean: 정창선; born January 9, 1943) is a South Korean businessman and the founder of Jungheung Group. He currently serves as the group's chairman.
Education
Jung attended the Top Management Program at the Graduate School of Business at Chonnam National University in 1996. The university awarded him an honorary doctorate in business administration.[1]
Career
Jung founded Jungheung Construction Co., Ltd. in 1983. The company initially operated as a regional builder in the Jeolla province before expanding nationally through residential development projects.[2]
In 2021, Jungheung Group acquired a majority stake in Daewoo E&C, which was the sixth-largest construction company in South Korea at the time. This acquisition placed Jungheung Group among the top 20 business conglomerates in South Korea.[3]
Jung served as the chairman of the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 2018 to 2024.
