Jurassic X Prix
The Jurassic X-Prix is an event organised by Extreme E, hosting the season finale for the 2021 Extreme E Season. The X-Prix takes place at the British Ministry of Defence Base at Bovington in Dorset. The Jurassic X-Prix was named "Jurassic" due to the track being located on the Jurassic Coast.
History
Originally, the Jurassic X-Prix was not on the 2021 calendar.[1]. Extreme E originally had two events planned in South America. However, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic[2], the calendar had to be modified during the 2021 season with two European rounds, one located in the UK (the Jurassic X-Prix)[3] and one located in Italy[4].
Extreme E confirmed the 2021 Jurassic X Prix on their website on the 12th of October 2021.[5]
Track
The Jurassic X Prix's track was revealed on the 16th of December 2021[6]. The 2.4 mile/3.8km circuit is fully off-road, with conditions providing extreme challenges to drivers, with drivers driving in a clockwise direction around the track. This is because the track features extreme mud, water and slippery conditions from the clay and gravel-based surface[7]. This X-Prix is the first X-Prix raced which has extreme muddy conditions. With the race taking part in December, rain could also make the race more difficult and muddy.
The track has many features, with some features including:[8]
- Fast downhills
- 90-degree turns
- The 54-meter, 23 degree "Knife Edge" jump
- Uneven terrain
- Extreme hills
- Water hazards

Jurassic X-Prix 2021
The final was won by Cristina Gutiérrez and Sébastien Loeb for Team X44[9], ahead of JBXE and Andretti United Extreme E. Rosberg X Racing's Johan Kristoffersson and Molly Taylor came fourth, which was all that was needed for Rosberg X Racing to take both the drivers' and the teams' championship[10].
Future
As of December 2021, the Jurassic X Prix is not on the Extreme E 2022 provisional calendar[11]
