Justice For Women, Bangladesh is a Social Charity Group. It's a sister concern project of HelpAid foundation. Helping and giving legal help with an attractive rate for the victims of any kind of Violence against women and Repression of cybercrime is the main aim of this group.

Founded[edit]

In July, 2014, Ifreet Zahin Kunjo appointed a Project of HelpAid Foundation to be the investigative force of the Justice Department of Bangladesh.

The JFWBD has divided its investigations into a number of programs, such as domestic and international terrorism, foreign counter-intelligence, cybercrime, violence against Women, civil rights, organized crime, drug abuse, violent crime and major offenders, and applicant matters. The JFWBD’s investigative philosophy emphasizes close relations and information sharing with other Division, District, local, and international law enforcement agencies.

The Volunteers and divisions at JFWBD Headquarters provide direction and support to 100 field Volunteer in big cities, more than 25 Volunteer known as Case Instructor several specialized field installations.

Work method[edit]

If a possible violation of Crime law under the Act of Bangladesh has occurred, the Team will conduct an investigation. The information and evidence gathered in the course of that investigation are then presented to the appropriate Dhaka metropolitan Police HQ or Department of Cyber Crime or Local Thana, who will determine whether or not prosecution or further action is warranted. Depending on the outcome of the investigation, evidence is either returned or retained for court.

The JFWBD has a range of legal authorities that enables it to investigate several crimes and threats, as well as to gather intelligence and assist other law enforcement.

Volunteers[edit]

The JFWBD volunteers approximately 2,000 people+, including special Detective and support professionals such as intelligence analysts, language specialists, scientists, and information technology specialists etc.

Volunteer appointment[edit]

A person must be at least 20 years old at the time of your appointment for being enlisted as JFWBD Volunteer. After appointment a volunteer goes through a grooming session or several kind of trainings. During their time there participate in a variety of training activities. Classroom hours are spent studying a wide variety of academic and investigative subjects, including the fundamentals of law, behavioral science, report writing, forensic science, and basic and advanced investigative, interviewing, and intelligence techniques. Students also learn the intricacies of counterterrorism, counter-intelligence, cyber, and criminal investigations to prepare them for their chosen career paths.

JFWBD and as its chairman Ifreet Zahin Kunjo also received several awards and is a recognized organization for its fight against social violence & crime.
