Justin Melillo is an artist and expert in augmented reality (AR) experiences. He is the founder and CEO of Mona, the premier 3D world-building platform and Web3 social network for the Metaverse. Melillo has designed tour stages for Drake and Charlie XCX and has worked with companies including Magic Leap and DreamWorks Animation. Melillo helped build the world's first AR digital human AI, and has collaborated with musicians such as Sia, Lizzo, Pearl Jam, Cardi B, and Maroon 5.[1]

Justin Melillo founded Mona because he experienced first-hand the lack of Web3 platforms for 3D creators. As a visionary 3D artist, animated filmmaker and AR designer, Justin discovered when getting into Web3 that the major metaverse platforms either charged high fees, or were incompatible with the programs artists use every day. Since then, Mona was founded and raised $14.6 million in its Series A round of funding.[2]

Melillo graduated from the School of Visual Arts in 2013 where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Computer Art, Computer Animation, and Visual Effects.[3]
