Justin S. Banafek
Justin S Banafek (born June 20, 1978) is a Singaporean author and writer. His real name is Sheikh Sulaiman Banafek.[1]
Early Life and Education
Of Arab descent, Banafek was born to Eusofe Banafek, an administrative manager, and Wanti Almusaiyah, a housewife. He has two brothers. His dad and brother were avid book readers, which had a positive influence on him. He played sports more in his younger days. Banafek holds a diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management from PSB Academy.[1]
Career
Banafek authored the book Chronic Illnesses Blessed Me with 3 Boys, a biography of his wife, Lizdiany.[2] It highlights his wife’s two chronic illnesses and her struggling journey to conceive and give birth to three healthy babies. It is written to serve as inspiration to those who have Crohn's, Lupus, and Thyroid disease. Banafek attempts to create awareness regarding these diseases.[3][4] Banafek is currently the Operations Executive in a freight forwarding company with almost two decades of experience.[1]
Personal Life
Banafek has been married to Nurlisdiany Yunos, an educator, since May 6, 2017. He has three sons, Idris Adrian Banafek, Imran Adam Banafek, and Izhan Andy Banafek. His father, Eusofe Banafek, passed away due to heart failure three weeks before his 78th birthday. He is a fan of the England national football team and likes music and Hollywood movies.[1]
