K.K.ORCHARD is a Taiwanese food processing company founded by Qiu Mu-Chen in 1983. It is the largest Taiwanese producer of fresh Sweet potato and sweet potato products.

History

K.K.ORCHARD was founded by Qiu Mu-Chen in 1983 at the same time as the first Fast food companies like McDonald's came to Taiwan. The company started as a food processing company with its first sweet potato processing plant built in Taipei. In the early 1990s, the leadership of K.K.ORCHARD decided to move the factory from Taipei to Tainan in order to allow better and faster communication with its contracted farmers. In 2001, the company successfully patented Frozen Baked Sweet Potato in Japan. In 2008, the company acquired an Agricultural Origin Certificate. In 2010, K.K.ORCHARD started to work with Family Mart. In 2011, the company passed a carbon footprint test for Frozen Baked Sweet Potato. In 2013, the company opened a sweet potato museum.
