Karuguuza Development Radio (KDR 100.3FM) is a local Radio Station located at Kirembo Hill in Karuguuza, Kibaale Town Council, Kibaale District-Bunyoro region, P.O.Box 75, Karuguuza. It is owned and established by Hon Matia Kasaija[1][2]

Karuguuza Development Radio broadcasts in different languages including Runyoro, Rutooro, Runyankore, Rukiga, Lukonzo, English, Luganda, and Kinyarwanda.

KDR 100.3FM has daily programs including Zinduka, Omukozi Hamulimo Gwe, Manya Ensi Yaawe, Haizooba among others and its wide coverage makes it create a strong bond with listeners by delivering relevant content on the air waves and on social media.

Background

Karuguuza Development Radio started in the year 2017, it offers several educational and participatory programming on basic human rights, land rights, health, family relations, education, business, gender consciousness, and politics towards political, social economic transformation of communities in Bunyoro sub region. It covers the rest of the world through a live streaming service on the station's website[3] and other stream links[4][5]

Karuguuza Development Radio reaches a wide area and has a vast listenership of over 4 million people mostly farmers, business fraternity and locals in the districts of Kibaale, Kagadi, Kakumiro, Kyegegwa and parts of Kyenjojo, Hoima, Kikuube, Kiboga, Kyankwanzi and Mubende districts respectively.

Karuguuza Development Radio has a target audience of leaders, men, women, the elderly, people with disabilities, youth, and children.
