KJTB-LD (channel 36) is a low-power television station licensed to Paragould, Arkansas, United States, serving the Jonesboro market as an affiliate of the Spanish-language network Telemundo. It is owned by Gray Television alongside ABC/NBC/CW+ affiliate KAIT (channel 8) and KJBW-LD (channel 35). The three stations share studios on New Haven Church Road (County Road 766) north of Jonesboro; KJTB-LD's transmitter is located along County Road 775 near the Craighead–Greene county line just south of Lake Frierson State Park.
History[edit]
The construction permit for the station was issued by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on October 2, 2012, under the callsign K36MT-D. The station signed on the air as KJTB-LD sometime in 2022. It launched as a Telemundo affiliate on the main channel, with Ion Television, Cozi TV, and Buzzr on the second, third, and fourth subchannels, respectively. The Telemundo affiliation is part of Gray Television's agreement with that network to renew the affiliation deals with 12 existing Telemundo affiliates, and to launch new Telemundo-affiliated stations in 22 markets, including Jonesboro.[1]
