KK Bosna

KK Bosna is a professional basketball club based in Sarajevo, founded in 1951 as a member of the University Sports Society Bosna, with its early roster consisting primarily of students from the University of Sarajevo.

The club earned promotion to the Yugoslav First Federal League in 1972, after which it entered the most successful period in its history under head coach Bogdan Tanjević and following the arrival of Mirza Delibašić.

Its greatest achievement came on 5 April 1979, when it won the FIBA European Champions Cup by defeating Italy's Emerson Varese 96–93 in the final in Grenoble, becoming the first club from Yugoslavia to win the European title.

The club won three Yugoslav national championships (1978, 1980 and 1983) and two Yugoslav Cups (1978 and 1984), and after the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina it added several national league and cup titles, including the 2026 Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the 2025 ABA League 2 title.

In 2014, KK Bosna entered into a business and technical cooperation agreement with KK Royal to preserve the club's continuity, after which it competed under the name Bosna-Royal, while continuing to play its home games at the Mirza Delibašić Hall in Sarajevo.

In 2022, the club signed a multi-year title sponsorship agreement with Meridianbet and has since competed under the name KK Bosna Meridianbet, with the partnership aimed at strengthening the club and supporting its return to regional and European competition.
