Kabuki Ramirez-Akiyama: Wrestlers of New Yokyo, or just Kabuki Akiyama Z as the short and main title, is an American-Spanish-Japanese computer-animated-anime-influenced series created by K'Maya Smith who did Mega Cosmetic Maia: Intergalactic Sorceress, the show was produced by Cosmic Unimotions and premiered on Cartoon Network in the summer of 2024.

Development[edit]

The show setting of New Yokyo City is mixed with New York and Tokyo with an inspiration, some music were played in Japanese or New York-like.

Summary[edit]

Kabuki Ramirez-Akiyama is a an eighteen-year-old teenager who lives in Junhattan, New Yokyo with his mom and siblings when his dad retired as a wrestler and returns in his homeland in Mexico City. Through the adventures, Kabuki and his siblings go through becoming wrestlers and heroes stopping their archnemisis, Dr. Masahiro Fuji to make their father proud. Will Kabuki ever reunite with his long living father soon?

Mauricio Juan Pablo "Kabuki" Ramirez-Akiyama (voiced by David Vincent)/(Wataru Hatano in the Japanese version)

An eighteen-year-old bodybuilder and high school student. Kabuki is the main titular protagonist and one of the four protagonists, he also has a disability called ADHD.

Guadalupe Maria Alejandra "Gena" Ramirez-Akiyama (voiced by Mila Kunis)/(Nana Mizuki in the Japanese version)

Gena is a sixteen-year-old girl who is elastic. She is the deuteragonist and second protagonist.

Otto Lee Akiyama (voiced by William Kasten)/(Reiko Takagi in the Japanese version)

Otto is thirteen, he has an ability to do electricity powers, but he's yet timid. He appears as the tritagonist and the third protagonist.

Annabelle Grace "Annie" Akiyama (voiced by Sarah Anne Williams)/(Fumie Mizusawa in the Japanese version)

Annie is the youngest of the Akiyama family and a smart ninja. She is the tritagonist and the fourth protagonist.

Edna is the caring mother of the four protagonists.

Sebastian Murphy (voiced by Malcolm Danare)

Sebastian is Kabuki's happy-go-lucky best friend, he always like to spend time with Kabuki.

Callie is Kabuki's kind-hearted and sweet girlfriend. She is also cheerful around her friends.

Irving Armstrong (voiced by Spike Spencer)

Irving is a charismatic British teenager and one of Kabuki's best friends, he is very handsome and reserved young man. Irving seems to be an innocent for his rich family's goals and reach.

Deborah Patterson (voiced by Reagan Gomez-Preston)

Deborah is one of Kabuki's friends and Irving's girlfriend, she's a stylish, sophisticated, helpful, and wise young woman with beauty.
