Kathryn "Kaddy" Lee-Preston (born 1978), is a British meteorologist and broadcaster.

Born in Yorkshire, "Kaddy" was a nickname she gained while growing up in Saudi Arabia [1] She was educated at Bradfield College and Reading University

She trained as a meteorologist at the Met Office, spending time as a forecaster for various gas & electricity companies and football teams. She was also a weather forecaster for war zones for Harrier planes at RAF Cottesmore.[2]

She joined BBC South East in September 2001, as part of the launch team for South East Today, describing herself as a "weather bird".[3] Aside from weather presenting, Lee-Preston also presented the regional current affairs series Inside Out.[4] In early 2007 she won the Royal Television Society Best Regional Personality award for the South.[5]

After a cut in BBC regional funding, which resulted in her being dropped from Inside Out and replaced by newsreader Natalie Graham,[6] she left BBC South East on 30 March 2012.[7] In part replaced by Tomasz Schafernaker, since 19 September 2012 she has worked with the network on a freelance basis.[8]

She gave birth to her first child, a daughter, on 9 December 2014.[9]
