Kakofoni Groups (popularly known as Johfrim art and design studio ) is a Nigerian and Scottish based culture and Art gallery.The gallery holds the third and largest African art collection in Nigeria and Scotland respectively, with 6,000 diverse artworks from various African artists like Ben Enwonwu.[1][2]

Johfrim is the first Black female owned contemporary African art and Cultural center, in Scotland.[3][4][5]

History and Art Collection

Johfrim was founded in 2001 by Chief Josephine Oboh Macleod, she is the Artistic director. Johfrim hosts cross-cultural events and represents work by about 50 artists, approximately 70% of whom are from Africa.[7][8]

The cultural centre is the largest African art gallery in Scotland and third in Nigeria, housing over 6000 artworks excluding sculptures, paintings and other media.[9]

Johfrim also is the first contemporary African art cultural center in Scotland owned by a Black woman. Started over 30 years ago as a private collection. Johfrim is an affiliation of the JOM charity.[10][11][8][12][13]
