[2] He has planted many churches and trained several ministers of God.
He is a bishop and teacher of the word with many supernatural experiences including visitations by Jesus and angels. He is also known as ‘‘the walking Bible because of his supernatural ability to quote the Bible from memory.
Kakra has preached the word with miracles, signs and wonders on every continent and is a sought- after minister around the world.[3]
He is an architect by profession. He has supervised the design and construction of several projects both locally and internationally. He personally supervised the design and construction of an ultra-modern and fully air-conditioned 5000-seater auditorium at his branch, Catch The Anointing Centre, Sakumono, called the Faith Chapel.
He is married to Rev Dr. Ewura Adwoa Baiden and they have four children.[4]
Early Life
Kakra was born on 7th January, 1968 in Takoradi, a city in the Western Region of Ghana to Moses Baiden Snr, a businessman and Georgina Baiden, an educationist[5] [6]. He was born a twin and hence shares the same birthday with his twin brother, Kwesi Baiden, a lawyer in the United States of America [7] [8].He attended Chapel Hill Preparatory School and proceeded to the renowned Mfantsipim Senior High School in Cape Coast.
He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Design and as well as a PgDip (Post Graduate Diploma) in Architecture from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, (KNUST).
He grew up in a home with strong Christian values and used to attend many preaching engagements with his mother, a minister herself in the Methodist Church[9], who later rose to become the National Vice President of the Methodist Church of Ghana.[10]
Conversion and Ministry
Right before entering the university, at the age of 18, he encountered Dag Heward-Mills, who preached the message of the Gospel to him and got saved—giving his life to Christ marking a major turnaround in his life. While enjoying his new found relationship with Jesus, he began experiencing supernatural encounters with Jesus and visitations from angels.
Notable among them was one he experienced while praying one dawn on the roof top of his father's house. In this encounter, there was a sudden bright light from the heavens and he saw Jesus descend from the heavens—full of light. Jesus stood before him and said that He has called him to be a prophet to the nations. This marked the beginning of his ministry as a prophet.
Under the direction and leadership of Dag Heward-Mills, he started ministry work right on the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology campus as student.
He started the first branch of the then Lighthouse Chapel International in a town called, Asokwa, a suburb of the city of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
Airpower Broadcast
In the 1990s, Kakra had a vision from the Lord, where an angel told him to sit on a radio mast and continue witnessing and bringing people from there. After the vision, he was instructed by the Lord to start a radio and TV broadcast ministry, now called Airpower Broadcast with Kakra Baiden.[11]
Starting from one small radio station in Kumasi, Ghana, in the year 2005, his radio and TV ministry can now be heard and viewed in over 52 countries around the world, including the internationally acclaimed Christian Television Network, TBN Africa.[12]
Airpower Broadcast with Kakra Baiden also touches the world through Social Media, conferences, publications and his website, kakrabaiden.org[13]
His interdenominational prophetic meetings; The AirPower Conference, has also been held in various locations worldwide.
