Brian Kalama (born February 21, 2001),[1] better known as Kalash Ambers is an African American independent rapper, singer, songwriter.[2] A prominent figure in popular music, Kalash is credited for popularizing mumble rap. He gained public attention after the release of his debut album, Villains.[3]

He released his debut studio album 'Villains' in April 2021.[4] The single was supported by a cover of the famous rap song "Superstars" as 'All the stars', among others.

Early life

Kalash Ambers was born in Kansas, United States, and raised in Mombasa, Kenya.[5] He is the firstborn in a family of three—two brothers and one sister. Kalash started rapping and writing songs at age 17.

Education

Kalash Ambers went to high school in Kenya, in Mariakani, a town in the coastal city of Kilifi County, where he completed high school.[6] This later led him to Nairobi County where he joined Nairobi Aviation College to study aerospace engineering.
