Kalekidan Girma (Geʽez: ቃለኪዳን ግርማ) was born in October 6, 1991. She is an Ethiopian Pilot. She is the first Ethiopian female captain of an Airbus A350.[1] The Ethiopian Airlines' twitter on October 21, 2020 assured that she is the prior pilot by flying Airbus A350 XWB at national level.[2][3][4]

Ethiopian Airlines is well known for encouraging female pilots, about six times it had all female flight for last six consecutive March 8. [5] Ethiopian Airlines Chief Executive Officer Tewolde Gabremariam explained to BBC English on 7 March 2019 that women are an integral part of their success story from the start, and with this dedicated flight they honor and celebrate women's indispensable contribution to their aviation group and the broader aviation industry, their country and the continent at large.[6][7]

She was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Her father Girma being a pilot was influenced her more to became a pilot. She joined Ethiopian Airlines in 2011.[4]
