Kamakhya Prasad Tripathi

Shri Kamakhya Prasad Tripathi was an Indian politician and professor.He was the Finance Minister of Assam from 1967 till 1972.He as a member of 1st Lok Sabha from Darrang Lok Sabha Constituency from 1952 till 1957.He was also a three time member of Assam Legislative Assembly from Biswanath Assembly Constituency.He was the founding Principal of Darrang College and the first Head of the English Department of the same College at Tezpur He contested the 1978 Assam Legislative Assembly Election from Behali Assembly Constituency from a Janta Party ticket but lost to Indian National Congress Candidate.
