Kamil Kerymov (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist.; born 13 July 1999) is a freestyle wrestler of Azerbaijani origin competing for Ukraine. He has competed in the 57 kg and 61 kg divisions for Ukraine and won a bronze medal at the 2021 European Wrestling Championships and another bronze medal at the 2022 U23 World Wrestling Championships.[1]
Career
Kerymov won the bronze medal in the 57 kg event at the 2019 European Juniors Wrestling Championships in Pontevedra.[2]
In April 2021, he won the bronze medal in the men's freestyle 57 kg event at the 2021 European Wrestling Championships in Warsaw. In the bronze-medal bout, he defeated Bulgaria's Mikyay Naim.[3][4]
Kerymov studied at the Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Technologies of the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute".[3]
In 2022, he won bronze at the Matteo Pellicone Ranking Series 2022 in Rome.[5] Later that year, he won the bronze medal in the 57 kg event at the 2022 U23 World Wrestling Championships in Pontevedra, defeating Azerbaijan's Tofig Aliyev in repechage and Georgia's Giorgi Gegelashvili in the bronze-medal bout.[6]
In 2023, he won bronze at the 2023 Polyák Imre & Varga János Memorial Tournament in Budapest.[1] He also won silver at the Sassari City Tournament at 61 kg.[7]
In 2025, Kerymov won the 61 kg title at the 2025 Poland Open in Warsaw. In the final, he defeated American wrestler Vito Arujau 5–4.[8][9]
In March 2026, he won a bronze medal in the 61 kg division at the 2026 Dan Kolov & Nikola Petrov Tournament in Plovdiv.[10]
