Kandos is a Sri Lankan manufacturer of chocolate and other food products. It was founded by Upali Wijewardene 1962 as the Ceylon Chocolates Limited the subsidiary company of Upali Group.[1][2] The first factory of Kandos was established at Kundasale, Kandy. The company has since grown to become the largest chocolate company in the Sri Lanka. The manufacturing plant was build by Walker and Greig, advised by Chocolatier from West Germany Heinz Schaller.[3] In 1970, The Ceylon Chocolates Limited was renamed to Kandos.[4]
