Kane Acosta
Kane Acosta (born 1998) is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, and entrepreneur known professionally as Ashes to Amber.[1]
Early Life and Education
Acosta grew up in Southern California, where he began writing and performing music at the age of eight.
He later attended the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music, where he studied music industry and honed both his artistic and production skills.[2]
During his time at USC, Acosta launched the Ashes to Amber project, blending his love of storytelling with laid‑back surf culture.[2]

Ashes to Amber
Adopting the stage name Ashes to Amber, Acosta founded his independent imprint and began releasing music.[3] His breakout single “Iris” accumulated nearly 45 million Spotify streams and earned significant attention for its thematic exploration of aged love.
Ashes to Amber is a Post-Wave/Bedroom Pop music project founded in 2018 by Kane Acosta in Orange, California. Influenced by guitar legends such as Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, and Eric Johnson, Acosta developed a songwriting style characterized by rich chord progressions and melodic guitar-driven compositions.[1][4] Since its inception, the project has released four full-length albums—Jade (2019), Do Not Pick the Flowers (2021), My Little Maniac (2023), and The American Junkie (2024)—in addition to three extended plays and numerous singles. The track “Heebie Jeebies” (2022) notably reached number one on the Apple Music Bedroom Pop charts.
