Founded in 2008[1], Kano is a Canadian indie gaming company that creates F2P social/mobile games. They have acquired millions of players worldwide across mobile and social networks such as Facebook, Myspace, Kanoplay, Armor Games, Kongregate, iOS, Android and more. The company is headquartered in downtown Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
History
Kano is a bootstrapped studio and has not received any external funding. Their first game, Viking Clan, was released in 2008 for the Facebook and Myspace platforms and has been played by millions of people worldwide. Viking Clan’s success was followed by Mob Wars: La Cosa Nostra (top 100 grossing app on Facebook[2]) in 2009, which took the company to the next level.
