Kantipur Engineering College, abbreviated as KEC, is a private engineering College located in Dhapakhel, Lalitpur, Nepal. The college is affiliated to IOE, Tribhuvan University[1]
History[edit]
KEC was established in 1998 with BE program in Civil Engineering in a rented building at Sitapaila Chowk, Kathmandu[2].The college in 1999 in collaboration with the University of Belarus, started a BE program in Civil and Industrial Engineering under Extra-Mural faculty of the Polotsk State University, Belarus. In 1999 the college shifted to its own complex at Dhapakhel, Lalitpur. The college started BE in Computer Engineering and BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering from 2000 and 2002, respectively. BE in Electrical Engineering and Bachelor in Architecture are in pipeline. The college has also been active in research field over the years. [3] [4]

Admission Process[edit]
Prospective students are required to successfully complete the annual entrance examination conducted by the IOE to be eligible for admission to the college. Following the examination, applicants are expected to formally submit their applications, and admission decisions are made based on the merit of their entrance scores. In addition to the merit-based admission process, the college extends various scholarships to students. These scholarships are awarded based on the candidates' performance in the entrance examination.
