Kanz and muhul

A kanz (also 'kaa'Nz) and muhul is the Kashmiri name for a mortar and pestle. The kanz (mortar) was made out of stone, and the muhul (pestle) was large and made out of wood. They were used for husking of rice and also used for grinding spices like chilli and turmeric.[1][unreliable source?][user-generated source]
