Karadi Path Education Company is a social enterprise that creates and implements English language learning programmes for young learners in India. The company has a presence across 18 states in India, and its programmes have been adopted by over 5000 schools[1]. Karadi Path caters to ICSE, CBSE, and other private affordable schools, and government schools through private-public partnerships.

History[edit]

The company was founded in 2010, and has its genesis in Karadi Tales, a children's publishing house and audio-book producer for children. The programmes offered by the company use the Karadi Path methodology[2], discovery-based approach to language learning that mirrors the processes in first-language acquisition. The methodology was developed by CP Viswanath[3], educator, musician and entrepreneur, who is also one of the founders of Karadi Path Education Company. [4]

LBF International Excellence Awards

In 2021, Karadi Path was the winner of the London Book Fair (LBF) International Excellence Awards in the category, Educational Learning Resources.[5][6]

Project Literacy Lab

Karadi Path has been identified by Project Literacy Lab, San Francisco, USA, as one of the top 16 educational innovations in the world that can close the global literacy gap by 2030.[7]

Millennium Alliance Award

Karadi Path has won the Millennium Alliance Award for being India's foremost language learning innovation. The grant is bestowed by USAID, the UK Government, FICCI, the Technology Development Board of the Government of India and the World Bank Group.[8]

Early Grade Reading Innovation Challenge

Karadi Path won the Early Grade Reading Innovation Challenge (EGRIC) for being the best language learning innovation in India[9]

TSS Global Sustainability Award

In 2021, Karadi Path won the TiE Sustainability Summit (TSS) Global Sustainability Award for Education[10].
