Karash Han
Karash Khan – God of darkness in Turkic and Altay mythologies. In Altay mythology, he is believed to be one of the nine sons of Erlik, and is considered to be among those who rule the evils on Earth. He creates darkness and reigns at night. He is portrayed as tough and has black snakes.
He lives in a cast-iron palace on the fifth floor of the underground. He sleeps on a bed of black beaver fur. He rides a sled pulled by iron horses. His whip is a black snake. He has bloody eyes and a black heart. He mediates between shamans and Erlik.
Etymology
It comes from the root "Kara". It means darkening (Karartmak) and Dark.
